No bullet slides
Powerpoint and Keynote automatically bullet items in your presentation. And because they are the default setting, bullets 'happen' and they happen more often than they should. I'm creating some presentations in Google Slides now, and I like the fact that the default layouts do not use bullets. I find myself considering how I can support my argument, and how the layout of each slide can best serve this purpose.
Yes, I can remove bullets in Powerpoint, but defaults matter. Do you want your software to be a bullet pusher or encourage creative alternative layouts? Google Slides does the latter very well - the slide templates contain a variety of examples such as a resume, timelines or team structure. This also comes across in that the templates are named after the example each presentation serves, not a theme name.
