Globby

The past few months have been rather productive in terms of projects. I worked on Snake (displayed at the Oxford Art Factory) and a couple of projects based on the Lilypad.

But this month, some friends and I will be spending a lot of time on this little fellow.

It's a virtual interactive character (we're calling it vic or globby for now, but we're looking for a name!) that is intended to visualise the collective well-being in a workplace when it comes to movement and sedentary activity. The character expresses changes in mood and temperament based on data from the physical environment such as the time spent seated at a desk. We're also using a Kinect for some interesting interaction design possibilities.
